Pollyhood in Mumuland by Lauren Jackson and directed by Goretti Chadwick, currently playing at Mangere Arts Centre, is one of those shows that if you miss it now, you’ll be kicking yourself for a long time.
We went along on Tuesday and were blown away by the rigour, stamina and talent of the fantastically agile and aulelei (good-looking) cast and musicians of PIPA students and in particular, the Samoan grandma, played by Asalemo Tofete (That’s him in the bed).
Unfortunately, there are no shows this Easter so study these following dates very hard and save those pingas now for the show.
