Dalston Eastern Curve Garden and FARM:shop are two of the many wonderful initiatives that happen to be in the Borough of Hackney.
Don’t worry, we don’t work for them. We simply admire these two amazing spaces whose sustainable principles are in the public domain, encouraging local participation and who happen to be in Hackney.
The garden is on the site of an old railway line whereas there are are real chickens on FARM:shop’s rooftop, whose fresh eggs are in their wonderful sandwiches. What’s impressive about both spaces is their live interaction with inner-city denizens to get them to do their own gardening and making and they are very popular with their local communities.
