Today, we were stoked to attend the Ōtāhuhu Maori Wardens Community Day at the carpark next to the Ōtāhuhu Town Hall. This was an opportunity to share information about ways to keep Ōtāhuhu safe, acknowledge local shops and a recruitment drive for their volunteer patrols.
Kia ora/Fa’afetai tele lava/ Thank you very much wardens for your generosity of free hāngī, sausage sizzle, candy floss, ice cream and bouncy castles. The crowd also enjoyed local entertainment such as DDF Dance Studio‘s performance, as well as community stalls.
