Yesterday, between drizzle and proper rain, our director, Louise Tu’u, rode her push bike to her local train station, Ōtāhuhu and caught a train to Te Mahia station. There, she rode a short path to Songbird Cafe, where she attended a Bike Brunch, hosted by Bike Papakura & Takaanini and Bike Auckland. This brunch was a great chance to meet other people who also cycle out south and have our bikes checked up for safety.

There, she reconnected with Bike Auckland’s Chief Biking Officer, Fiáin d’Leafy and Teva Chonon, Community Activations Manager as well as meeting the new Chair, Karen Hormann. Teva also checked and made major improvements on Louise’s bike, as seen here. Thank you Teva for fixing the bike so much!

If you want to know more about Bike Auckland and how you can participate in local cycling initiatives in your area, please check them out here.
