This afternoon, Louise Tu’u learnt how to change a flat bike tyre from highly experienced bike mechanic and visual artist, lovely human being and Bike Auckland’s Community Activations Manager: Teva Chonon
With Teva’s kind and patient manner, Louise was able to realise that changing a bike tyre is doable and transformative.
Using a nook near Tev’s Cafe in the Otahuhu Pool and Leisure Centre to show how it’s done, Teva demonstrated on the back wheel while Louise changed and replaced the front wheel. He also donated unused tyres for Louise’s bike. Here are her old tyres on the back of her bike.
