Random Bike Ride: Ōtāhuhu to Ōtara AND school visit to Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate

Yesterday, our director, Louise Tu’u, rode her pushbike from Ōtāhuhu to Sir Hillary Collegiate Senior School in Ōtara. Using the same path next to the South Western motorway, Louise rode through a small part of Highbrook before going on Bairds Road, Gilbert Road and finally, to Franklynne Road. There were a few stray dogs on Gilbert Road, some who had energy to bark, others not so much.

She worked with Year 13 students about how to write a book. Local politics, a surprise census in the Bible and why there is no tuck shop in their school were important discussions, as well as what not to write about.

Thank you Mary-Anne Malpas and your students for the robust and enlightening hour.
