Today, our director, Louise Tu’u, had a medical appointment at Greenlane Clinical Centre so decided to bike some of the way there. Heading first to the train station at Ōtāhuhu, she caught a train to Greenlane and rode from there to the centre.
Did you know there is an actual cycle lane for some of that route on Manukau Road? It’s near Cornwall Park so somewhat scenic. Otherwise, you have to really watch out for traffic.

Because the pathway becomes unbearably narrow, you have to cross without lights to the other side. Riding back to Greenlane train station and catching the train was easier, especially with no rain and timely tailwinds.

Here is the cycle path from Otahuhu, which is lovely, wide and more importantly, separated and safe from cars.
