Trip to Auckland Transport

Last Wednesday , we travelled to Auckland Transport in the heart of town. Why?

Because of our upcoming event: “Brown Womxn Who Cycle“.

It’s a new event our director, Louise Tu’u, has created, as she’s seen a need to highlight and connect womxn of colour like her, who want to give cycling a go or are experienced cyclists and all the shades in between.

But before getting there, the trains from Otahuhu and indeed, all of the Southern line, stopped because of a broken line.

Then out of nowhere, this came:

3 and a half hours and 5 buses later, Louise arrived at Auckland Transport, ready to meet Tiffany R. Robinson, Senior Active Modes Specialist in the Sustainable Mobility Team.

In short, this meeting was great, mainly because Tiffany is awesome, helped us navigate who might be a good person to talk to and what might be useful for our upcoming event. She’s also one of our guest speakers for the event. Tanks for your expertise and guidance Tiffany.

If you are a womxn of colour, please register this event, which is made just for you:https://events.humanitix.com/brown-womxn-cycle?fbclid=IwAR04pi-n8wTPZLWZLQiRZpAhPM5sIikBO4NXCtKSx2miutuxP5jX2xwhHUU
