Early yesterday morning which was a touch cold, our director, Louise Tu’u, rode to her work, which that day, took place at a hotel near the airport in Māngere.
Heading from her base in Ōtāhuhu, she rode along the entire footpath length of Massey Road, as the road is really busy and unsafe. The footpath is sometimes gnarly, serene and outright dangerous, with a final part, just before Massey becomes Kirkbride, having a glorious and generously spaced cyclepath to the airport.
Her pictures capture the trip home in the drizzling rain.
