Last night, we rocked up to the 2nd Ōtara Bike Burb Whanau Rides for 2024. Tarsh and her awesome team of marshals looked after us well, as we as a group of young children, aged between 7-13 years old and adults, pedalled, careened, braked hard and panted up and down hills past Mayfield Park, along Ōtara Creek Reserve, converging at the Scorpions club before heading up Gilbert Road, crossing at Bairds Road, then over to Ashton Road and back to home base for delicious and complimentary kai and water.
Please come join the next three remaining bike rides, happening on Fridays 23rd February, March 1st and the 8th at 5-7pm sharp from the Ōtara Bike Burb, 3 Watford Place. It’s one of three beautifully converted containers, as part of the Ōtara Kai Village, in front of Jetts Gym on East Tamaki Road.
These rides are proudly supported by the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board so ride on up and see the beauty of Ōtara on wheels.

Riding back home to Otahuhu, we were stunned to see this.
