Today was spotty with rain in the morning, heading into midday. Our director, Louise Tu’u, ummed and ahhed about whether to cycle to a meeting in Manukau and thought, why not? She rode to Ōtāhuhu train station then caught a train to Manukau train station. From there, she rode into Hayman Park and crossed over/sprinted through the crazy and downright dangerous roundabout through to Lambie Drive, Ronwood Ave and in and around the Supa Centa shopping mall. Louise wondered why everyone was walking so slowly then realised she was cycling past the new and much bigger Kmart Manukau. She cycled to Cavendish Drive, looking for bike rails at BP Manukau but saw nothing so lifted her bike up one flight of stairs to her meeting.
Afterwards, Louise decided to ride to Puhinui train station so she took advantage of the incredible and protected cycle lane on Lambie Drive from Cavendish Drive. She then turned left into Puhinui Road and cycled on the right hand side, as this is a clear shared path for cyclists and pedestrians. (See below).

Riding the wide and largely smooth path, Louise made it easily to Ōtāhuhu train station.

Here is a physical sign on Station Road that Louise always knows that she is definitely in Ōtāhuhu:
