Bon voyage Louise!

This week, our director, Louise Tu’u, completed her fixed-term contract as Creative Producer and Director at Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School. Louise taught independent practice to the Technical & Management Department, Costume and Light Design to the 1st year design, technical & management and costume construction students, produced schoolwide events such as the Festival of New Work and Graduation Showcase and supported production of marae noho in Manutuke, Gisborne as well as facilitating outreach and recruitment to over two hundred students in Auckland, Nelson, Hutt Valley, Wainuiomata and Porirua in her short time at the kura.

Below is a photo of her, discussing the merits of Robert Wilson in one of her Context and Practice classes with all fifty 1st-year costume, technical and management, costume construction and acting students.
