Yesterday, in what seemed like the hottest part of the day, over 100 people gathered to listen, learn and ask questions from Kings Plant Barn organic vege peeps, Billy and John, in one of the awesome free Urban Pantry workshops, supported by Auckland Live at Aotea Square.
We learnt that knowing what kind of soil your garden is key to making the dream of organic vegetables that you planted, maintain and most importantly eat a reality.
We were also lucky to meet Urban Pantry’s lovely founder, Emily Harris, who was incredibly modest and said her job was to just tend the veggies.
