This afternoon, we were gifted the pleasure of reading an exceptional longform essay, “LIVE (Why I’m not in a hurry), penned and lived by performance and design genius, Nisha Madhan.
We had no idea that Nisha had this website so have been meditating and reflecting on her words of clarity, discomfort and aliveness, which abound on this site. The text speaks to the presence and future of live performance, how technology continues to disarm with the current state of our world, and the power and privilege structures which underpin and seek to predict what might happen next.
The audio files for this work invite the listener to hear Madhan narrate her words and pauses.
Thank you Madeleine Hyland for sharing this gold with us.
Seek the live and lie down if you want.
