Participatory transparency

In recent times, our director, Louise Tu’u, has asked for information from government organisations, usually pertaining to public funding results, and received a variety of responses.

Does anyone relate to this? Please share your favourite query and how is ended or didn’t.

  1. Hi We Should Practice,
as you know, for funding towards creative projects, in the last four years I have applied to Auckland City Creative Communities, Māngere Ōtāhuhu Arts, Māngere Ōtāhuhu Local Board, and Te Tuhi Gallery. I have been successful with all but Te Tuhi. The former three let me know the outcomes in due course and that was fine, I know that for each round, Creative Communities posts online the projects that received funding, as did IMāngere Ōtāhuhu Local Board I think. I think Māngere Ōtāhuhu Arts this too, if I remember correctly.
On reflection, Following my unsuccessful application to Te Tuhi, it would probably have been useful for me if I had requested some feedback from them on my proposal. In my experience, feedback on unsuccessful applications is useful.
