Arcola’s Play in a Day success

To celebrate Climate Week, Arcola Theatre hosted ‘Play in a Day’ last night in their tent, which paired groups of plucky young graduate actors from the top five drama schools in the UK: the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Bristol Old Vic, Central School of Speech and Drama, and Guildhall School of Music and Drama with professional playwrights and directors. Their task was both simple and impossible: stage an original 15-minute play of any genre, that contains a solution to climate change within the allotted 24 hours.

The result was a roaring success with high-quality plays, produced with integrity and a rare star onstage: our environment and its legacy.

Congratulations to all who took part and to Arcola for staging a wonderful initiative.
