We are truly blessed to have been able to experience the only New Zealand show of Charles Koroneho‘s Pure, which opened this year’s 10th Tempo Dance Festival at Q Theatre.
Many times during and after the show, we were moved to contemplate those who we never want to lose.
Charles’ integrity of movement, immaculate design and openness about his life made for a solemn yet triumphant hour.
The kai afterwards, both food and discussion wise with Charles and Carol Brown led the audience back and forth to tears, singing and laughter, especially with Charles’ whanau present.
