Making artistic work and being content, explaining that to others what you do, waiting for awards and acknowledgement that never seem to come your way and the silent frustration from that was all brilliantly made and performed by Lara Fischel-Chisholm in the Town Centre’s latest production, “This is my real job”. Ably made and directed by Nisha Madhan, who also operates the show, this work really struck a chord with us, who strive to make work work.
We loved the contractual status of the show and the nuanced journey of being upstaged by your own siblings and peers from your performing arts classes to reflecting one’s familial paths to your destiny.
It’s only one for two more nights people at the Basement Studio at 7pm. Book now.
