This Armistice evening, we were privy to watch a community performance called, “He Aha Te Utu/The True Cost” in the Banquet Hall of the Beehive.
Six women from diverse ethnicities, ages and experiences came together to devise over four months, a twenty-minute work which explored their personal, historical and emotional connections to the events of World War I.
The work was presented by Voice Arts Trust, in partnership with the British Council and the Goethe-Institut, with additional support from the Wellington City Council.
