School visits in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland – Term 1

The weather is shifting and we are reflecting on two invigorating school visits our director, Louise Tu’u, made last month, cementing personal relationships with schools who have invested in Louise ‘s work by buying and utilising her books in school.

Inspired by Leali’ifano Dr. Albert Refiti‘s detailed, intimate and personalised drawings of loci he has occupied and travels he has made, we documented the awesome teachers, librarians and students we had the pleasure of meeting here.

Fa’afetai tele lava ia Kate Yandall and her lively students from Kelston Girls’ College and Pearl Andrew, organising through the Knowledge Centre where she is librarian, the inquisitive English students from One Tree Hill College.

Louise has drawn the people here, which also protects the students from being overexposed through photos. Her drawings are rudimentary so malo le onosa’i/please be patient.

Manuia le Eseta/ Happy Easter!
